How online learning works at 121speech
Outline overview
Your highly trained Spanish teachers are located in either Guatemala or Peru and will call you anywhere in the world at an arranged time that suits both parties. You can book your lessons using our online appointments calendar.
Your first lesson is free. A credit of one hour is automatically added to your account when you register with us. After your free trial, you pay only $9.99 for each additional one-hour lesson. There are no other costs involved with our program!
Your tutor will send the curriculum before each lesson and also give you homework if requested.
You will need to have Skype which is free.
How to start your online Spanish lessons
- First, you need to register for your free trial lesson or sign up for a course and book appointments and still get an additional one hour free lesson.
- Click "Schedule Your Lessons". You will then be directed to a calendar where you can schedule your lesson. (Be advised, times are in Guatemalan time zone). We have included a time zone calculator for you. Guatemalan time is the same as U.S. Mountain Time. (Please include your Skype user name when you book lessons.)
- You will be emailed a confirmation of this appointment and a reminder 24 hours before the lesson. At the arranged time be online with ready for our instructor to start the lesson.
- Shortly before the class starts our teachers will email you the Spanish lesson plan or may send a link via Skype chat during the lesson with the grammar material.
- We have a huge online curriculum with five different levels and each time we will send you material for that class. For your first lesson we ascertain your proficiency level and assign you to the corresponding curriculum level.
- The live video conference will begin using Skype for a one-hour lesson; it is just like a personal Spanish class but with a larger distance between you and the teacher.
- During the lesson, pages of our curriculum are interactive, so both you and your tutor can see changes to the Spanish instantly.
We have made it as straightforward and easy as possible, so you get quality lessons at an affordable price.

Rules and guidelines for students
- If a lesson is interrupted for more than 10 min due to the fault of 121Speech or its employees, the student will be credited with an additional free lesson.
- If a student fails to be available online for a class, the teacher will wait for 20 minutes after the set time before disconnecting. The student will be charged as normal for a 1 hour class and the teacher will make every attempt to contact the student. (We still have to pay our teachers, as they travel into the school for your lessons.)
- 24 hours notice is required for canceling a scheduled class or by 12pm Guatemala time on a Friday. Contact us, and we can usually cancel a class without you getting billed.
- Students may be asked to be transferred to another teacher if for some reason their regular teacher is unavailable for lessons.
- Curriculum provided to the students shall remain the property of 121Speech and shall not be copied for use other than with 121Speech.
- All issues/suggestions are to be directed to Craig Jull Craig@121Speech.com (Owner)
